Daouda SANA is a specialist in economic history, population studies, and international relations, holding a master's degree from Joseph Ki-ZERBO University in Burkina Faso. Since 2019, he has been actively engaged in promoting public health and works within the Union of Religious and Traditional Leaders of Burkina for Health Promotion and Development (URCB/SD), where he has served as a project manager and head of digital communication and advocacy. Through advocacy efforts, he mobilizes community leaders to strengthen commitment to health prevention and access to healthcare in communities. His expertise lies in integrating cultural and religious approaches into public health awareness to drive social and behavioral change in favor of population health. Recognized for his dedication, he has been part of various editorial committees for strategic documents and reports, representing the religious and traditional leadership component. In 2019, he contributed to drafting the national report on the state of the population alongside the Ministry of Economy and Finance, focusing on the issue of unintended pregnancies in schools. Additionally, he collaborated with the Ministry of Health in developing the National Family Planning Plan (2021–2025) and the national framework document on Family Life Education (EVF), which serves as the Comprehensive Sexuality Education (CSE) guide adapted to the Burkina Faso context, along with its user guide. In 2024, he participated as a member of the editorial committee in drafting the National Community Health Strategy for the period 2024–2028.
